The 18-year-old was sometimes driving at up to 200 kilometers per hour on Sunday morning when his car finally skidded at a construction site and rolled over several times. He was slightly injured. A breath alcohol test carried out showed a blood alcohol level of 0.66. He now has to reckon with a report for endangering road traffic, and his driver's license has also been confiscated.
The young man had previously ignored two red traffic lights during his escape trip, the police said. When the officers tried to get him to stop at a construction site, he didn't stop again. However, the construction site area resulted in a full closure. The young man tried to drive around it and lost control.
