Bavaria: Pandemic year: Little growth in healthcare jobs

Fürth (dpa / lby) - In the first pandemic year 2020, almost 940,000 people worked in the healthcare system in Bavaria. That was 1.6 percent more than in the previous year - but the number of employees before the corona pandemic had risen more sharply. Between 2015 and 2019, the annual average growth was 2.2 percent, the State Statistical Office announced on Wednesday in Fürth. Three quarters of jobs in the healthcare sector were held by women in 2020 - with a share of 75.8 percent.
