Garmisch-Partenkirchen (dpa/lby) - A 66-year-old was injured in a paragliding accident in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Another plane missed its landing spot by a few meters and hit the man who had already landed with a knee on the head, police said on Thursday. The 66-year-old immediately passed out in the accident on Wednesday. According to police, he only suffered a concussion because he was wearing a helmet.
The 37-year-old paraglider was unharmed. According to initial findings, shortly before landing it had regained lift and therefore missed the free landing area.
