Bavaria: Pedestrian dies after an accident in the Upper Palatinate

Amberg (dpa / lby) - In the Upper Palatinate, a 92-year-old pedestrian was hit by a driver and died. According to the police, the elderly woman crossed the entrance to a supermarket in Amberg on Wednesday when a 51-year-old car driver drove into the parking lot. For initially unclear reasons, the man hit the woman with his car. The elderly woman succumbed to her injuries in hospital. Officials are now looking for witnesses.
