Hollstadt (dpa / lby) - In the Wargolshausen wind farm in Lower Franconia, sabotage has been detected on a working machine. The police said on Wednesday that it was being checked whether there was a connection with an incident in September last year. At that time, an unknown person had prepared the entrance to a wind turbine depot of the wind farm project in the Rhön-Grabfeld district with nails. This damaged the tires of a vehicle passing the track in Hollstadt.
Now, between June 26 and August 2, a so-called compactor was sabotaged. Work with the machine had to be stopped due to massive damage to the gearbox. During the subsequent repair of the construction vehicle, it was determined according to the information that the damage was caused intentionally. The Kripo Schweinfurt is looking for possible witnesses.
