Treuchtlingen (dpa/lby) - The police found a dead woman in an asylum center in Central Franconia, who was probably the victim of an act of violence. A 35-year-old suspect was arrested on Sunday, the police said in the evening. The man had previously come to the police station in Treuchtlingen (Weissenburg-Gunzenhausen) in the afternoon and said he had killed a woman in an apartment nearby.

The public prosecutor's office in Ansbach has filed an application for arrest against the Ethiopian national. The body will be autopsied on Monday.
