Bayreuth (dpa / lby) - The police rescued a dog from a heated car in Upper Franconia and found drugs. The car with the locked animal was standing in the blazing sun in Bayreuth, the police said on Friday. Officers couldn't find the owner Thursday and smashed windows to free the dog.
He recovered quickly from the heat. The police officers then searched the vehicle in order to notify the vehicle owner. But instead of contact information, they found a small amount of marijuana. The 46-year-old car and dog owner returned to the vehicle a short time later. A voluntary drug test was positive. The man is now awaiting several ads.
