Coburg/Rattelsdorf (dpa/lby) - The police have resumed the search for a missing woman from the Coburg area. Among other things, helicopters and divers are being searched for around a lake in Coburg for the 28-year-old, said the police headquarters in Upper Franconia on Monday.

The 28-year-old's car was seen near the lake the Thursday before last. The following Sunday, members of the police reported that the woman from Bad Rodach (Coburg district) had disappeared. A day after the missing person was reported, the car was found a good 20 kilometers away in a parking lot in Bad Rodach. So it was moved again after the woman's disappearance.

Riot police officers with sniffer dogs then combed forest near the lake, and divers were also deployed in the water. After a few hours, the search last Thursday was initially unsuccessful.

According to a police spokesman on Monday, a 52-year-old is also missing, because of her disappearance the police had been called to a bathing lake in Rattelsdorf (Bamberg district). The woman was reported missing last Wednesday. Her car was parked near the lake. From Wednesday evening, numerous police and rescue services were looking for the woman around the lake and the nearby Main.
