Ansbach (dpa / lby) - Four people were injured in a prison in Middle Franconia because two prisoners rioted in their cell. The two men, aged 30 and 21, barricaded themselves in their cell on Saturday and destroyed parts of the furniture in it, police said on Sunday. When the police wanted to enter the room in Ansbach, they allegedly attacked the officers and threw objects at them. A policeman and a prison guard were slightly injured.
The Middle Franconia negotiation group and the special task force came in as reinforcements and contacted the prisoners. A few hours later, they arrested both men. The 30-year-old and the 21-year-old were slightly injured themselves and taken to two other prisons. The motive of the men was initially unclear. The property damage is estimated at several thousand euros.
