Bavaria: Residents have to leave houses because of phosphorus bombs

Ettringen (dpa / lby) - Two old phosphorus bombs were found during excavation work in the Swabian district of Unterallgäu. Because it could not be ruled out that the World War II bombs, which were around 50 centimeters long, posed a danger, residents within a radius of 50 meters from the site had to leave their houses in Ettringen for one and a half hours on Monday afternoon, the police said on Wednesday.

The explosive devices, which were already visibly rusted, were secured and removed by the ordnance clearance service. There weren't any problems.
