Aschaffenburg (dpa / lby) - A drunk rider fell off his horse in Lower Franconia and hit his head on the ground. According to the police on Friday, he suffered a severely bleeding head wound and was taken to a hospital in an ambulance. The partner had found the 57-year-old injured on Thursday in Aschaffenburg lying on the ground.
After evaluating a breath alcohol test, the police assume that the rider was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the fall. A police spokesman could not say whether he was wearing a helmet. However, the severe injury to the head allows the assumption that the man should not have worn a rider's helmet.
