Bavaria: "Rock im Park" rises again after the Corona break

Nuremberg (dpa/lby) - After two years of the Corona compulsory break, thousands of music fans will celebrate together again on the Pentecost weekend in Nuremberg at the "Rock im Park" festival. With around 70,000 visitors every year, it is one of the largest music festivals in Bavaria and Germany.

Around 70 bands will play on three stages on the former Nazi Party Rally Grounds from Friday to Sunday. At the same time, the twin festival "Rock am Ring" is taking place at the Nürburgring in the Eifel. The organizers are expecting a total of more than 160,000 fans at both festivals.

According to the schedule, the US bands Black Veil Brides and Daughtry will kick things off on Friday (2:05 p.m.) in Nuremberg. Later, among others, Billy Talent, Beatsteaks and Volbeat will appear.
