Fürth (dpa / lby) - The former professionals Björn Schlicke and Stephan Fürstner are returning to SpVgg Greuther Fürth. Schlicke will be the sporting director of the youth academy from September 5, as the Franconian second division soccer team announced on Tuesday. Fürstner will be working as a trainee in the junior division from September 1st.
Schlicke (41) played for Kleeblatt from 2000 to 2003 and made the leap to the pros in 2001. He will take over the position that has been vacant since April alongside Administrative Manager Jürgen Brandl. Fürstner (34) played for the professionals from 2009 to 2015 and celebrated promotion to the Bundesliga in 2012.
