Bavaria: Searches for anti-Israel graffiti

Augsburg (dpa / lby) - The police in Augsburg searched two apartments on suspicion of incitement to hatred. A 27-year-old is accused of putting up at least 17 anti-Israeli graffiti in the Augsburg city area. The graffiti had a direct connection to a fight song of the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas, the police reported on Thursday. The song calls for the bombing of Tel Aviv. The suspect belongs to a left-wing extremist group in Augsburg that has repeatedly attracted attention for its criticism of Israel. The searches took place on Tuesday.
