Passau (dpa / lby) - The icy weather has caused several accidents on Autobahn 3 in the Passau district. A 39-year-old driver was unable to brake in time on Thursday and drove into a trailer truck that was stuck in a traffic jam at a border control near Neuburg am Inn. The police reported this on Friday morning. The driver and her two six-year-old and 22-year-old passengers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The car was no longer drivable after the accident. The property damage is around 20,000 euros.
The car of a 22-year-old driver also skidded on Thursday between the Aicha vorm Wald and Passau/Nord junctions and crashed head-on into a guardrail. A semitrailer also slipped off the road into the crash barrier just before the Rottal/West motorway parking lot.
