Munich (dpa / lby) - Spring-like temperatures mainly determined the weather in Bavaria on the Christmas holidays. The maximum temperature on Boxing Day was 15 degrees north of the Alps, as reported by the German Weather Service (DWD). The sun also came out at times, especially in southern Bavaria.
In the new week it will remain mild. According to the DWD, many clouds are moving across the Free State, but up to 15 degrees could be reached locally, especially in the middle of the week. In Upper and Lower Bavaria, the nights are expected to be cold - up to minus four degrees are possible in some areas on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The DWD is also forecasting spring-like weather with up to 14 degrees for New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. The chance of rain is rather low. At the end of the year there will probably be a mix of sunshine and clouds.
