Würzburg (dpa/lby) - Cloudy weather, cold water, but a good mood: More than 70 participants ventured into the Main at the Three Kings Swim in Würzburg. They swam either five or two and a half kilometers in the river on Friday and started the new year accordingly sporty. The organizer of the Three Kings Swim, which was in its 38th edition this year, was the German Life Saving Society (DLRG) in Lower Franconia. According to the DLRG, the water temperature was seven degrees on Friday, and swimmers should only go into the water with neoprene suits.
In the past two years, the Three Kings Swim had to be canceled due to the corona pandemic.
