Bavaria: Student scalded with boiling water at an event

Rögling (dpa / lby) - A student was scalded with three liters of boiling water at a Catholic leisure event in Swabia and suffered second-degree burns. A 41-year-old wanted to brew coffee in the kitchen tent of the event near Rögling (Donau-Ries district) on Saturday, the police said on Sunday. When the man lifted the pot filled with boiling water by the handle, it tipped forward and spilled its contents onto the student sitting in front of the stove. He had to be flown to the hospital in a rescue helicopter.
