Denver (dpa / lby) - The newly crowned Stanley Cup winner Nico Sturm also wants to cause a sensation for Germany after the triumph in the National Hockey League (NHL). "I still haven't played in the national team," said the Augsburger Sturm, when asked about his other goals on Friday. "That's certainly one thing that's on top of my mind."
At club level, the 27-year-old, who is still without a contract for the new season, would like to continue playing for the Colorado Avalanche. "I would love to come back to Colorado," said Sturm, who only switched from Minnesota Wild to the current Stanley Cup winner in mid-March. The Denver team defeated defending champion Tampa Bay Lightning in late June. For the Avalanche it is the third title in its history and the first in 21 years.
