Bavaria: suspected Reich citizen with access to sensitive data?

Nuremberg (dpa/lby) - According to media research, a suspected Reich citizen arrested in December 2022 was said to have been a former computer specialist with access to sensitive school data. He was responsible for IT at two Middle Franconian schools. This was reported by Bayerischer Rundfunk and "Nürnberger Nachrichten" as well as the "Weißenburger Tagblatt" on Thursday. The federal prosecutor's office in Karlsruhe, which is responsible for the investigation, did not want to comment on the report on request.

The man is said to belong to the so-called military arm of the Reich citizen scene. At at least one of the schools in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district, the man from Lower Franconia had extensive opportunities to access data. Among other things, he created passwords for the administration. There are fears that the terrorist suspect could have tapped sensitive data, for example from children with a migration background or about children with disabilities. The entrances have now been blocked by the municipality concerned.
