Bavaria: Test procedure for Corona emergency aid paid out started

Munich (dpa/lby) - More than two and a half years after the first Corona emergency aid was paid out by the federal and state governments, the test procedure for companies and the self-employed is starting these days. According to the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, all companies that received emergency corona aid from March to May 2020 are currently receiving mail from the approval offices. This includes access to an online platform that can be used to complete the processing of the emergency aid received.

In the first few months of the pandemic, the federal government and the Free State had paid out around 2.2 billion euros at short notice to compensate for impending liquidity bottlenecks and prevent insolvencies. When applying, companies and the self-employed had estimated how severe their liquidity bottleneck would be in the following three months. It is now necessary to check whether the forecast at the time actually came about, it said.

Possible or partial repayments are to be registered via the online platform if too much emergency aid was paid out in 2020. Any repayments are possible until June 30, 2023. In special individual cases, it will be possible to agree on installment payments from mid-June 2023. However, a quick repayment in 2022 could bring tax benefits.
