Bavaria: Theft in fish farming: More than 1000 fish stolen

Eggenthal (dpa / lby) - Around 1,500 fish were stolen from a fish farm in the Allgäu. The perpetrators had specifically selected adult rainbow trout and char from the basin in Eggenthal (Ostallgäu district), the police said on Tuesday. There has been no trace of the thieves and the fish since Sunday night. Police believe many fish died in the act. It is unlikely that the thieves released the animals into other waters. According to initial estimates, the damage is around 7,500 euros.
