Wülfershausen (dpa / lby) - A previously unknown person stole a large amount of meat from the cold store of a meat processing plant in Lower Franconia. According to initial investigations, after the end of operations on Monday, the thief gained access to the slaughterhouse via the rear part of the company premises in Wülfershausen (Rhoen-Grabfeld district) and took 500 kilograms of beef with him, the police said on Wednesday.
It was therefore two halves of beef. "It can only be assumed whether the perpetrator wanted to stock up on the theft for his Christmas meal," said the Bad Königshofen police station.
