Neustadt an der Aisch (dpa/lby) - Three people were injured in a cellar fire in Neustadt an der Aisch in Middle Franconia. As the police announced on Sunday, the basement of an apartment building caught fire early in the morning for reasons that are still unclear. Five people were in the house at the time and were able to leave it themselves. A couple and their 12-year-old child suffered from smoke inhalation and had to be taken to the hospital. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames before they spread to the upper floors. Investigators estimated the damage at several thousand euros. The police are looking for the cause of the fire.
