Schnaittach (dpa / lby) - Three men were seriously injured in a rear-end collision on Autobahn 9 near Schnaittach in the Nuremberg region. A 22-year-old truck driver noticed early Wednesday morning that he had lost his trailer. The young man parked his truck in the hard shoulder and started to walk to the trailer, which was parked in the right lane.
A 43-year-old drove his truck onto the trailer and pushed it back to the truck. The trailer overturned on the 22-year-old, who was seriously injured. The driver and passenger in the second truck were also seriously injured. Paramedics took her to a hospital.
Motor oil bottles were transported in the trailer, which tipped onto the road and spilled. The police blocked the Autobahn in the direction of Berlin. "The rescue could take all day because the road has to be thoroughly cleaned," said the spokesman. There was damage of around 200,000 euros.
