Bavaria: Three slightly injured in a collision between a car and a train

Hohenwarth (dpa / lby) - In an accident between a car and a train at an unrestricted level crossing in the Upper Palatinate, three people were slightly injured. As the fire brigade announced, a 58-year-old driver crashed into the railcar of the approaching Oberpfalzbahn on Wednesday in Hohenwarth (Cham district). The train driver was therefore unable to prevent the collision despite braking. He suffered minor injuries, as did the driver and his passenger. They were taken to hospitals. The four passengers on the train and the accompanying staff were unharmed. The car was thrown off the roadway by the impact. The railway line was temporarily closed.
