Bavaria: traumatic brain injury after a fall from a bicycle

Arberg (dpa / lby) - A woman in Middle Franconia was seriously injured when she fell off her bicycle. The 59-year-old was cycling with her husband near Arberg (Ansbach district) on Friday when she suddenly braked sharply for previously unknown reasons, as the police announced on Wednesday. She fell off her bike and hit her head on the asphalt. She sustained a traumatic brain injury. She didn't wear a helmet. The woman had to be flown to the hospital by rescue helicopter. Danger to life cannot be ruled out, it said.
