Bavaria: Twelve injured in three accidents on Autobahn 9

Ingolstadt (dpa / lby) - Twelve people were injured in three accidents within a few hours on Autobahn 9 near Ingolstadt, including one woman. In a rear-end collision on Tuesday morning, there was initially a slight injury, as the police reported on Wednesday. A 69-year-old braked too late and drove into the car of a 24-year-old. The 67-year-old passenger in the elderly man's car was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Just 15 minutes later, another rear-end collision occurred about 500 meters after the Ingolstadt Süd junction. A 29-year-old recognized the traffic jam caused by the first accident too late. His car crashed into a minibus that had already slowed down. Six people were slightly injured.

In the afternoon, another accident happened on the A9 in the direction of Nuremberg. Shortly before the Ingolstadt Nord junction, a 53-year-old came off the right lane with his semitrailer and drove the left side of his tractor into a car driving at the same height.

As a result of the collision, the car swerved to the left, hit the central barrier and spun backwards, coming to a stop in the middle lane. The passenger in the car was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Four other people were slightly injured.
