Weiltingen (dpa / lby) - A bloody deed last Monday in Weiltingen (Ansbach district) was preceded by years of neighborhood disputes. The later victim, a 33-year-old man and the 55-year-old alleged perpetrator, had been making accusations against each other since at least 2019, a police spokesman said on Wednesday. The police had therefore been to Weiltingen several dozen times. The later perpetrator was more often the complainant than the later victim.
However, the complaints were mostly comparatively minor issues, such as disturbance of the peace or violations of the Infection Protection Act, said the police spokesman. In one case, a traffic accident occurred in the course of the dispute, in which coercion on the road is said to have played a role.
The 55-year-old master carpenter shot and killed the 33-year-old standing in front of his property from his car last Monday. The gunman's body was later found in his car - according to police, the man killed himself.
