Bad Berneck (dpa / lby) - Two people were slightly injured in the fire in a residential building in Upper Franconia. The two residents of the house in Bad Berneck (Bayreuth district) were treated for smoke poisoning in the hospital, the police said on Friday. Accordingly, one of the residents noticed flames from the shed at the house on Thursday shortly before midnight and was still trying to extinguish the fire.
By the time firefighters got to the scene, the flames had spread to the house. Part of the roof of the house partially collapsed, which made it difficult to extinguish the fire. The police estimated the damage on Friday at around 200,000 euros. The cause initially remained unclear, the Kripo Bayreuth determined.
