Bavaria: Two injured after a rear-end collision on Autobahn 9

Bayreuth (dpa / lby) - Two people were injured in a rear-end collision on Autobahn 9 near Bayreuth. The driver of a pickup truck crashed into a semitrailer on Tuesday morning, police said. For the landing of the rescue helicopter, the lane in the direction of Munich was temporarily completely blocked, so that traffic was backed up. The passenger and driver of the pickup truck were taken to a hospital. According to initial reports, the truck driver was not injured. It was initially unclear how the accident happened.
