Munich (dpa / lby) - A man drove through Munich with weapons in his car on Thursday and played insulting criticism of corona protection measures on a screen on the rear window. State security is now investigating, among other things, insults to people in political life, said a police spokesman on Friday. According to the current status of the investigation, however, there is no concrete evidence that the 44-year-old is a so-called "Reich citizen".

A police patrol noticed the screen with the political messages in the rear window of the car on Thursday. During an inspection, the police found a firearm, ammunition and a hatchet. According to the police, the 44-year-old has a gun license for the firearm.

During the check, the man initially refused to speak to the police officers and then recorded the situation as an audio recording on his cell phone. According to the police, he is therefore also expected to be charged with violating the confidentiality of the word. The 44-year-old was released after processing.
