Munich (dpa / lby) - A 30-year-old raced through the Munich city area at 157 kilometers per hour instead of the permitted 50. The man now expects a fine of 1,600 euros, two points in the central traffic register and a three-month driving ban, as the police announced on Tuesday. Officials had caught and stopped the 30-year-old on Saturday while speeding.
According to the police, excessive speed repeatedly leads to serious accidents. Targeted speed enforcement is therefore still planned in Munich.
