Munich (dpa / lby) - The World Rally Championship returns to Germany. The world automobile association Fia has included the so-called Central European Rallye in its racing calendar for the coming year. As announced on Friday, the premiere is planned for October 26-29, 2023.

The joint project will be held in Germany, the Czech Republic and Austria, and thus in three countries for the first time. The start is planned in Prague, followed by Austria and Lower Bavaria. The finish line is planned in Passau. The 2023 rally calendar includes a total of 13 World Championship stations.

"We are very pleased that the FIA ​​WRC 2023 is returning to Germany and that in Lower Bavaria we can count on the routes in the Freyung-Grafenau and Passau districts that were tried and tested in the ADAC 3-City Rally," said ADAC Sport President Gerd Ennser.
