Munich (dpa / lby) - Striker Stefan Lex remains captain of TSV 1860 Munich. As the third division soccer club announced on Wednesday, coach Michael Köllner determined this in consultation with the 32-year-old. In addition to Lex, the team council also includes Marco Hiller, Semi Belkahia, Quirin Moll, Marcel Bär, Phillipp Steinhart and Tim Rieder. Lex came to Munich from FC Ingolstadt in the summer of 2018.
"Stefan is an experienced player who has already played in the Bundesliga and has been a lion since childhood. We talked to each other in the summer. Due to the major changes in the squad with the many newcomers, we wanted to take a look first," explained Köllner. "We have now come to the conclusion that it is best for the team and the club if Stefan remains captain."
