Munich (dpa / lby) - The basketball players of FC Bayern Munich have extended the contract with veteran Othello Hunter for another season. This was announced by the German basketball vice champion on Monday. The American moved from Maccabi Tel Aviv to Munich in July last year. The 36-year-old center is now in his second season at Bayern.
"I don't want to be anywhere else next season and I can't wait for the journey to start again because the mission in Munich is not over yet," said Hunter, who started his career with the Atlanta Hawks in the elite NBA league was.
The center averaged 7.7 points and picked up five rebounds in 35 appearances in the past Euroleague season. In the Bundesliga, the average was eight points per game.
The Munich team have also signed a long-term contract for the talented Croatian center, Danko Brankovic. The 22-year-old comes from the offspring of the Croatian record champion Cibona Zagreb. He has already played three caps for the senior national team.
