Bayern: Coach about training camp: moved together as a team

Augsburg (dpa / lby) - Augsburg's new coach Enrico Maaßen sees a need for improvement in his team "in all areas" until the start of the season in the Bundesliga. But the focus is "that we score the goals up front," said the FCA coach in a club interview published on Monday evening.

The 38-year-old describes the nine-day training camp in Austria with friendlies against Dynamo Budweis (0-1) and FC Schalke 04 (1-1) as an "intensive time". "We've moved closer together as a team. We've worked on building our own game. We've worked on how we want to play in the last third," said the coach, who last coached Borussia Dortmund's U23s.

On Saturday, the people of Fuggerstadt receive the French club Stade Rennes for a dress rehearsal. On July 31st, the first competitive game in the DFB-Pokal at the Lower Saxony regional league team TuS Blau-Weiss Lohne is coming up. On August 6th, the Fuggerstadt team will open their Bundesliga season with a home game against SC Freiburg.
