Ingolstadt (dpa / lby) - The future third division football club FC Ingolstadt has committed defensive player Marcel Costly from SV Waldhof Mannheim. The 26-year-old is "a fast-paced player who has proven his qualities in both the second and third divisions," said Dietmar Beiersdorfer, managing director of the Ingolstadt team, in a club statement on Monday. "He's an incredibly dynamic player who can be used flexibly in defense and in midfield."
Costly joins the "Schanzern" on a free transfer. The Ingolstadt company did not provide any information about the terms of the contract.
