Fürth (dpa / lby) - Coach Alex Zorniger from SpVgg Greuther Fürth emphasized the importance of captain Branimir Hrgota before the explosive Frankenderby against 1. FC Nürnberg. "He's the emotional leader of this squad because sometimes his temper just breaks out. We don't have enough players there," said the 55-year-old football teacher before his first duel with the unloved neighbor on Saturday evening (8:30 p.m.).
With six goals, Hrgota is Fürth's top scorer in this so far sobering second division season. "He steers the guys up front and is my first point of contact," said Zorniger about the task profile of the 30-year-old centre-forward. Hrgota last met in October. "Two goals from Brane at the weekend? I won't object to that," said the eleventh-placed coach.
The Sportpark Ronhof will be sold out with 16,626 fans. "Arriving without a ticket doesn't make sense," appealed the Fürthers before the emotional local summit to the thousands of fans who were left empty-handed. With a win, the cloverleaf could increase their lead over the "Club" to four points.
