Bayern: Jahn wants a successful final sprint: "Go to 100 percent"

Regensburg (dpa / lby) - With its recovered coach Mersad Selimbegovic, SSV Jahn Regensburg wants to fight for a "brutally important" victory in the last home game of the year. "We have to go to 100 percent and confirm the good performance from the Hamburg game," demanded Selimbegovic before the game on Wednesday (6:30 p.m.) against Eintracht Braunschweig.

The Upper Palatinate are one point ahead of the promoted team from Lower Saxony. "Half the league is a competitor. Or rather two-thirds," said Selimbegovic about the tight table constellation in the 2nd Bundesliga. "Braunschweig will be a tough nut to crack. They're brutally dangerous on the counterattack," warned the Jahn coach.

Dejan Stojanovic is about to return to the Regensburg goal. "He had a bit of a flu, but he's doing better," reported Selimbegovic. It was still unclear on Tuesday whether central defender Steve Breitkreuz, who suffered a concussion in the game against Rostock two weeks ago, would play.
