Berlin (dpa / lby) - Ex-coach Jürgen Klinsmann has praised Bundesliga club Bayern Munich for the transfers this summer. "I think they did it very well. They got Mané - a big thing, a really big thing. But then they added another important building block with de Ligt," said the 57-year-old in an interview with the portals "spox.com" and "goal.com".
Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt (from Juventus Turin) was already "a leader" after signing Sadio Mané from Liverpool FC, Klinsmann said: "And knowing Bayern Munich, they are always looking. They always look up around the market, and if the opportunity arises to get one or two more very important pieces to their puzzle, they will do it."
One shouldn't be surprised if Bayern "attack one of their main competitors, because that's what they've traditionally done for the last 30-40 years," said Klinsmann, who looked after Munich between 2008 and 2009. The former striker also played for the club from 1995 to 1997.
