Weiden/Upper Palatinate (dpa/lby) - After the death of a man as a result of visiting a club in the Upper Palatinate, the police identified a suspect. According to the current status, the 32-year-old is accused of hitting the five-year-old man in Weiden in early December 2022, the police said on Wednesday. The 37-year-old is said to have hit his head on the concrete floor. He died of his injuries in hospital three days later.
The police are now investigating the suspect for bodily harm resulting in death. In the apartment of the 32-year-old from the district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab, investigators secured several pieces of evidence - including a mobile phone whose data is now to be evaluated. However, a police spokesman emphasized that the officials continued to investigate in other directions. The suspect was still at large on Wednesday.
