Briancon. Robot challenge: Garcins college wins the victory

After a year without a challenge followed by a year with remote challenges, the college robotic challenge has been resumed at Altitude high school. This year, La Batie-Neuve is the new competition. A total of 17 college students from four colleges of the Brianconnais school network, and the Italian college Rosta (near Turin) participated in the competition, which was supervised by their science and technology teachers.

This 8th edition of robot challenge was for third-graders the culmination of their work programming small rolling robots. The students had to follow a course, drop two pingpong balls, and park at the finish of the course as fast as possible. This allowed them to become familiar with the basics and mechanics of algorithmic programming and mechanical manufacturing.

Altitude High School, which hosted all of these people, asked students from the technical sectors to present their work. The competition was managed by the school's management team and teachers.

The Garcins de Briancon college's Team 2 won a huge victory with 160 points, the maximum, in 14.7 seconds. The 2017 8 second record is still valid.
