Jacky Cognolato will be presenting his original creations for the first time at the Debal'Arts Exhibition, which is being organized by the City of Cognac's event culture center on the Georges-Clemenceau Esplanade, just behind the Memorial. He is an "artisan sculptor in metal art", and has been working with the scraps of the consumer community for over twenty years to "bring them back into life and aesthetic legitimacy."
He is seduced by the instantaneous sensation he gets when he touches an element. It is characterized by an incessant battle with metal, a hard gestation of tormented work. Although he doesn't name his creations they are all unique and part of his story.
He is "a teenager who hasn't yet achieved his dreams". Now he is moving towards simplicity, "a path of wisdom". He is happy to accept appointments at his showroom in Cherves. It was completed in 2021.
