Love knows no boundaries. And so the British singer Leona Lewis and the German choreographer Dennis Jauch have been a couple for many years. Now the two can look forward to having offspring for the first time. Your daughter has even been born for two weeks.
Singer Leona Lewis and her husband Dennis Jauch had their first child together on July 22nd. It's a daughter, as Lewis only now announced in an Instagram post.
The Briton also revealed the name of the little ones. "And there were three. Our little Carmel Allegra was born on 7/22/22," the 37-year-old captioned a photo of herself with the baby in her arms. Jauch posted the same image and caption on his own Instagram page.
The two had also announced the pregnancy via Instagram in March. At the time, they shared a sideways photo of Lewis in a tight black dress - the baby bump was clearly showing. "Can't wait to meet you this summer," the singer wrote.
Jauch also shared the same picture on his page at the time and wrote: "The greatest gift I could wish for this summer, you are a hot mom, Leona Lewis."
The pop star and the choreographer have been married since July 2019. They tied the knot at the Tuscan winery owned by Sting and his wife Trudie Styler south of Florence. Lewis and Jauch got engaged in August 2018. The two met in 2010 when he was on tour with the singer as a background dancer.
Jauch, who was born in Bremerhaven, is German. In 2007, at the age of 18, the 33-year-old won the Sat.1 dance show "You Can Dance!" that was broadcast at the time. TV viewers may also know him from "Germany's next top model", where he has appeared as a guest judge several times in recent years.
Born in London, Lewis won the British talent show "The X Factor" in 2006. Their debut album "Spirit" and the single "Bleeding Love" derived from it conquered the top of the charts in numerous countries, including Germany. With the Snow Patrol cover "Run" the singer managed another big international hit in 2008. Lewis has been quiet for a few years. Her last studio album to date, I Am, was released in 2015.
