Collects a seven-figure sum: Johnny Depp becomes the advertising face of a luxury brand

The defamation lawsuit against his ex Amber Heard didn't hurt Johnny Depp. As an advertising medium, he now seems to have been rehabilitated. A large luxury brand equips the 59-year-old with a highly remunerated contract.

The court case against his ex Amber Heard may not be over for Johnny Depp due to the appeal process. The career curve for the star has recently pointed steeply upwards - as an actor and musician. And as an advertising character, the mime has apparently landed a big deal. Depp is the face of a new campaign by luxury brand Dior and its fragrance Sauvage, according to a post by the company on Instagram.

The US site "TMZ" already wants to know more details about the deal. The star can look forward to a multi-year collaboration, which is said to bring a seven-figure sum to his account. Depp has been promoting the perfume since 2015, despite the serious allegations from his ex-wife, the collaboration was not ended prematurely - and has now even been extended.

In addition to the Dior commitment, Depp will probably have to deal with less beautiful things for a while. Because after the US media unanimously reported that Heard was appealing the verdict in the defamation trial, it became known shortly afterwards that Depp would also take this step.

An anonymous source close to the actor said: "If Ms Heard is determined to proceed with the litigation by appealing the verdict, Mr Depp will be appealing at the same time to ensure that the full file and all relevant legal issues dated Court of Appeal will be considered." Previously, Heard had already failed with an application to have the judgment overturned.
