Steinbeck is now in a "stable condition," said his manager Engin Cömert, according to RTL. He should soon "go to rehab because he needs to be made fit again there". "His ribs are broken from the resuscitation and he's breathing a little heavily. Now that's still needing to heal and all in all he's in a bad way."
According to information from the "Bild" newspaper, Steinbeck suffered his first heart attack at home in Giessen on June 6th. The TV star's girlfriend was with him and dialed 911. Steinbeck had stopped breathing and could probably only be resuscitated by paramedics. His ribs were also broken in the process. When Steinbeck was then taken to the hospital, he was placed in an artificial coma for several days, according to the "Bild" newspaper. A few days later, when he was able to breathe on his own again, he suffered another heart attack.
The 47-year-old has been on the TV show “Die Superhandler – 4 Rooms, 1 Deal” since January 2019 and thus since season two. He became known to an even wider audience in August 2021: Steinbeck took part in the ninth season of the reality show "Celebrity Big Brother". There he finished ninth.
