Corona summer wave: eye rolls, entitlement and a state of emergency: a paramedic about his everyday life

For the vast majority of our patients, Corona is a secondary diagnosis, which means that they are infected, but have injured themselves or are ill in another way and therefore call 112. We often get the following message over the radio afterwards: "Caution, the patient you just drove had Corona." We don't test for the virus ourselves, that's done in the clinic. But for me it hardly makes any difference whether there is an infection or not. I'm protected, the FFP2 mask is standard for every mission. I haven't been infected while on duty either, although we have many contacts.
