The judge in the Mediator case has admitted that PSOE, PP and Vox exercise popular prosecution in the investigation, but on the condition that they do so under the direction of a single lawyer, which could generate tensions when it comes to guiding the procedural action.

The same lawyer must also represent Fuerza Canaria Unida Democrática, the Unified Association of Civil Guards (AUGC) and the Organization of Water Users and Consumers (Aguaiuris), who had also requested to act as prosecution.

Judge Ángeles Lorenzo-Cáceres has summoned the popular accusations now admitted to pay a bail of 2,000 euros. According to the resolution, they will be considered persons in a "unified, joint and simultaneous" manner.

The investigation focuses on the performance of a plot in which, among others, the former socialist deputy Juan Bernardo Fuentes Curbelo and his nephew Taishet Fuentes, former director of Livestock of the Canary Islands, participated. The latter asked the judge not to admit the popular accusations or to at least force them to act jointly.

This is what the judge does in the order notified this Wednesday: "Given the status of the proceedings, given the complexity of this case, its volumetry and the different popular actions announced [...] for the success of the investigation of this case It is appropriate to agree to the admission of the unified popular action with a single complaint and a single lawyer and prosecutor designated by those reviewed, in order to avoid delays or contradictions during the investigation of the cause that could delay its effective conclusion.

Once they appear, the judge must decide on the request of Vox and Fuerza Canaria Unida Democrática to send the former socialist deputy to prison. The judge released him in a resolution in which he maintained that he would have wanted to keep him in pretrial detention, but that he could not because the Prosecutor's Office had not claimed it, the only accusation then brought before him.

In addition, Tito Berni and his nephew, in the case the Civil Guard general Francisco Espinosa is being investigated for corruption, several businessmen who agreed to pay in exchange for favors and the mediator between politicians and businessmen and who gives the case its name , Antonio Navarro Tacoronte.
