On Friday, the Cowboys signed kicker Lirim Hajrullahu. Christian Sam, a linebacker, was also signed by the Cowboys.

Hajrullahu was available to the Cowboys. To make space for Sam, they placed Devante Bond, a linebacker, on injured reserve due to a knee injury.

Sam played most recently for the New Orleans Breakers in the USFL. He hails from Allen, Texas and is just a few minutes away from Frisco's training facility.

In 2018, the Patriots selected Sam in the sixth round. Sam was injured reserve during the Super Bowl, and has not played a regular-season match since.

After the Cowboys released Greg Zuerlein, Hajrullahu signed to compete against Jonathan Garibay, a rookie agent.

The Cowboys announced that they had signed a group free agents, which included Malik Jefferson, linebacker. Jefferson, a third-round selection from Texas in 2018, played last season for the Colts.
